OUR
NEIGHBORS.

Graham County sits against Tennessee and within a wider mountain region where independent mesh communities are building resilient radio networks. This page points outward without pretending those networks are part of ours.

ONE COUNTY.
A BIGGER REGION.

These are community resources worth knowing about if you travel, operate, or build mesh infrastructure around Western North Carolina and the neighboring states.

NORTH CAROLINA

NC Mesh

A statewide North Carolina community focused on building grid- and solar-powered Meshtastic® infrastructure. It is one of the most relevant regional resources for operators staying inside North Carolina.

NORTH CAROLINA · ASHEVILLE

MeshAVL

An Asheville and Western North Carolina community covering both Meshtastic® and MeshCore. It is a useful regional connection as Graham County operators move toward the Asheville side of the mountains.

SOUTH CAROLINA

South Carolina Mesh

South Carolina Mesh is a community-powered network centered in the Upstate. Its public resources include a self-reported map and community information.

GEORGIA · NORTH GEORGIA / EAST TENNESSEE

Mountain Mesh

The official Meshtastic® community directory lists Mountain Mesh for Metro Atlanta, Athens, and North Georgia. A regional mesh-monitoring directory also identifies a Mountain Mesh community serving North Georgia and East Tennessee.

GEORGIA / SOUTH CAROLINA

CSRA Mesh

The Central Savannah River Area community connects mesh enthusiasts around Augusta, North Augusta, Aiken, and surrounding communities. It is a useful reference for the eastern side of the Georgia–South Carolina region.

IMPORTANTA LINK IS NOT A RF LINK.

Listing a community here does not mean Graham County Mesh is affiliated with it, that its nodes can reach Graham County, or that the networks are currently interconnected. Radio coverage changes with terrain, elevation, node placement, configuration, and operator availability.

North Carolina's neighbors

North Carolina borders Virginia, Tennessee, Georgia, and South Carolina. Graham County itself directly borders Tennessee. The other states are regional neighbors rather than Graham County border states.

For a broader directory of local groups, the official Meshtastic® community list is the best starting point. Meshtastic® describes its project as community-driven and open source, so local groups can have different operating practices, channels, maps, and policies.
