03 / LOCAL INFRASTRUCTURE

THE
MESH.

Think of the network as a collection of radios with different jobs. The strongest local network is not one giant tower—it is many useful nodes placed where they solve real coverage problems.

C

CLIENT / HANDHELD

Your everyday node. Carries messages, moves with you, and helps reveal where coverage exists.

01
R

ROUTER / REPEATER

A strategically placed node extends the conversation beyond a single valley, ridge, or neighborhood.

02
S

SOLAR NODE

Independent power makes a well-placed station useful around the clock, especially where utility power is unavailable.

03
V

VEHICLE NODE

A mobile node can connect roads, trailheads, events, and temporary field operations.

04
NETWORK PRINCIPLE

Coverage is a
community project.

The map gets better when people report what actually works. We document active nodes, useful placements, dead zones, and repeatable field tests—not pretend the mountains behave like a flat map.

01

HEARD

A node was observed from a known test location. Useful evidence, but not proof of permanent coverage.

02

REPORTED

A local operator has supplied a node or coverage observation that still needs independent confirmation.

03

VERIFIED

Repeatable field testing confirms the result under documented conditions, including date, terrain, radio configuration, and test method.

04

PRIVATE

Exact residential coordinates and other sensitive locations stay out of the public map unless the owner intentionally chooses otherwise.

DATA STANDARDNO INVENTED NODES. NO FAKE COVERAGE.

Graham County Mesh will only publish network intelligence that comes from real observations, intentionally shared node data, or clearly labeled planning information.
